Pre-Heating the Flu
So, while constructing my first fire, I learned about preheating the flu to get the chimney "drawing" air rather than drafting into the house. Fortunately the family was going to Toys-R-Us anyway, but I think I encouraged their departure. The fire is now okay. Next lesson, adjusting the damper...

Poop in the Potty!
So just over 6 months after the first #1, we have our first #2! My folks have convinced me its unnecessary to upload the photograph, but it certainly will make the baby book.
Maura's first comment, after her M&M reward was "Go School Tomorrow!" As I had mentioned that she needed to learn how to Poop in the Potty before she could go to school. Lori told me that would bite us... Oh well...

Land Baron no more...
So the condo is sold! I actually got to receive the biggest check of my life, only to deposit it and pay off yet another loan. Financial debt is a strange thing: I remember Mr. Bohn telling us in some class that "Debt is good". I know he wasn't speaking of consumer/credit card debt (or is it usury). But oh well... That stress is removed.
Perhaps its the release, but I got a pretty nasty bug this week, and witnessed the advent of coworker get well wishes on their Yahoo Instant Messenger statuses. "Get Well Demian!", "Save Demian!", "Candle Light Vigil for Demian...' and so on...
I particularly enjoy the Ferris Bueller references.

All done peeing...
So I got the joy of sleeping in this morning, Lori and I have an unspoken sharing of the 6:30 wake up with Maura.. Its not bad either way, because you are sure to get a good nap inducing snuggling while she watches Barney.
Anyway, I woke up originally to Maura's signature "All Done Sleeping!" at ~5:45am. But didn't get out of bed until 8ish: "All Done Peeing!"
Got some fall chores started: Replacing Screens with Storm Windows and trying to improve the lawn before winter...
