Broadband everywhere!

So I've moved my cable modem to the new house... When I came back to the condo to sleep I really felt disconnected from the world knowing I had no connection. It was eery... Coming down the stairs I noticed the Xmas gadget my father got me.... Didn't I already determine the next door neighbor had a broadband connection and wireless access point?

But the firmware doesn't list the available SSIDs(Update: The latest update restores this function, removed by an earlier upgrade). Maybe I'll try his last name(Update: in case you didn't figure it out, I wouldn't have to guess now)... Yup there's the WLAN light... Sweet... Wonder how good a connection I have is... Speed Test 1.5Mbps... Sweet... SBC DSL PPoE settings in his linksys setup... Guess SBC is got decent performance... I check the activity logs to make sure I'm not taking his bandwidth if he was using it... Good thing changing the default password on the router, but maybe not to the same as the broadcasted SSID(which you don't have to guess). Maybe he is intentionally keeping it somewhat open..

Thanks Neighbor....

Did you tell your Real Estate Agent about the Wi-Fi frendly neighbors?
