Land Baron's
![]()
So we bought a house today. Its empty, but its ours. I wrote the biggest check of my life to get a cashiers check for my attorney, and the bank charged me $5. Afterwards, my real estate agent suggested that had I just insisted on a cash withdrawal, then I probably could have had the fee waived... Oh well, live and learn.
I've got to pay some taxes, move my phone and cable service, and, of course, move my family.

You reaffirmed something for me. I too was nauseated the day of our closing. We had trouble with the elderly ladies lawyer who we were buying the house from...he was just trying to make it look like she was getting her money's worth having him there. The responsibility of having a mortgage and then just the whole moving into a new phase of our lives gave me quite a headache. Just wanted you to know, it was all worth it. I am excited for you both and hope to "drop in" if you dont' mind when we are up that way (I hope before the kids graduate :-)
