Learning at the Park

At the park, yesterday, we found ourselves playing next to a little Russian girl. Her babysitter could only say "No english, babysitter, Russian," which was nice.

But when the girls met up with each other they debated the name of a feature of the structure they were playing in. Maura insisted it was a ball, and the Russian girl, something else.

Then they playfully argued about the slide, and Maura kept saying "Dada," as I am the one to catch her.

Later Maura learned to climb a 3 rung ladder up to a platform. I'm sure you can picture me hovering behind her, ready to catch her at the slightest slip. I was proud, a terrified at the same time.
