Maura's First Newspaper Appearance
![]()
As any proud father would, I bring you the first picture of my daughter in the newspaper, we have real copies for Grandparents and other interested family members, but I have included a stitched-together scan of the "Life Times" section of the Darien Times newspaper.
Of course, I'm reminded of a story one of our college friends once told of her parents transplanted in Long Island. They, apparently, decided to move back to Eastern PA the day their oldest daughter came home from school speaking with a Long Island accent.
I'm faced with a newspaper glorifying the "materialism" of my 14 month old daughter in an advertisement disguised as journalism and balancing that with the pride of my family that has me showing the paper to strangers on the street.
How Bitter Sweet... (If you are really bold there's a very large image here.)
