I Like Thunder Storms!

I like thunderstorms. Although this storm is quite a doozie. Apparently there are tornados north of us. Stamford has had a bit of a drought this year, but hopefully the fast acculumation doesn't run off too fast. It definitely smelled like rain when I got home. The In-Laws arrive tomorrow morning in preparation for Lori's birthday on tuesday. I expect we will take some pictures.

When the Baby's Hot

Its amazing how much the comfort of my daughter means to me. Discomfort, crying and sleeplessness can drive us to panic. The heat picked up today and the air conditioner didn't pick up fast enough and we were all a little uncomfortable. But action come from protecting my child. I might be at risk for being a little overprotective. I think I just need to be careful not to screw it up.

Update
Maura just woke up, I'm working downstairs and I hear her and Lori playing. I can't tell my non-parent friends how amazing the sound of your child laughing is.

She says "that!"

Maura has been vocalizing more and more recently. Its pretty funny. Much of it is just jibberish and blabbering, but proto-words are beginning to appear. She likes to point and say "That!" In fact, when relaying this story to someone, she will inevitably say "That!" in response to your story. We had a lot of fun with that game last night.

Adventures in Manipulation

I wish I had some design skills. I'm very envious of pretty-to-look at pages. I may yet figure out to layout this page better. I guess thats one of the motivations for this part of Knipster.Net. I've poisoned the mind of my brother. I'm curious to hear his reaction to MovableType. I'm more interested in what motivates him then wether he converts or not. It tends to be very challenging to get someone to change their habits. I wonder why he has been so easy to try. It seems like the import feature and categories are alluring to him... I have categories too, I think I will make small category icons like SlashDot. That should be fun for my reader.

Grand Re-Opening

Well, I'm moving into another Era of Journaling... In the middle of the battle between Blogger and Wiki is MovableType. I'm not sure how this is going to turn out but hold on to your hats, here we go!

Congratulations Chris and Suzie!

One of my oldest friends (from High School) got married this weekend. It was the perfect size, location and crowd for a wedding. Good Luck and best wishes!

Cry for Pictures

Is this how it's done?? It's been almost a whole month since Birthday pictures were taken. The natives are getting restless.
I second that - Morgan

Debauchery in Quebec

Oh, the power of the wiki... Look at the demands for more content.. Lets see, Bachelor Party Saturday last week. Whoa! Way too much for me... Our evening plans brought us International, and we didn't travel to a major city... Hmmm, the "talent" was a bit "rusty". The wedding is next weekend. The travelling to Vermont and back keeps getting longer. Its funny how a kid adds 50% to the effective distance between any 2 places (if not more). Fortunately the next bachelor party will be local (I may report later). But its the night before we travel to VT for next weekend's wedding. Then we have a wedding the weekend of father's day (and my 30th birthday). Then we have a wedding in July and then we have a wedding in August. I'm often criticized for my need to be liked, but perhaps there are too many weddings on our calendar.

offTopic: "Watching the History Channel" has become synomous with "I'm taking a Nap." The funny part is that I really enjoy the History Channel, sometimes however the narrators' voices are just too hypnotic.

I think I just realized the theme of this day's writing: I'm getting old. (Don't worry its okay, I've wanted to be old since I was 8).
